Najibo Becomes a Voting Member of The Latin Recording Academy

JULY 19, 2025 — Najibo marked a new professional milestone in her recording career by announcing her transition from Associate Member to Voting Member of The Latin Recording Academy, the organization behind the Latin GRAMMY Awards.

Earlier in 2025, Najibo had joined the Academy as an Associate Member. Her subsequent transition to Voting Membership reflected a new stage of participation within the Latin recording community, recognizing her qualifying work as a recording professional.

Voting Membership is reserved for creative and technical professionals whose commercially released recording credits meet The Latin Recording Academy’s eligibility requirements. Eligible categories include artists, singers, songwriters, composers, producers, engineers, instrumentalists and other recording professionals.

Unlike Associate Membership, Voting Membership provides eligible members with the ability to participate in the Latin GRAMMY Awards voting process, alongside opportunities to submit qualifying recordings for consideration and participate in the Academy’s professional music community.

For Najibo, the milestone represented another step in the evolution of her work as an independent recording artist. Following years focused heavily on live performance, the development and release of her own recorded music expanded that career into a growing body of original work and deeper participation within the Latin recording industry.

The transition also carried particular meaning as an independent artist—reflecting the recording credits and body of work Najibo had continued to build through her own artistic projects.

From Associate Member to Voting Member, the milestone marked a new chapter in Najibo’s relationship with the Latin music industry and gave her a voice in the Latin GRAMMY Awards voting process.
