Najibo Named Best Vocalist Finalist in Best of the Bay 2025

TAMPA, FL — Najibo was recognized as a Best Vocalist finalist in Creative Loafing Tampa Bay’s 2025 Best of the Bay awards, placing her among the artists honored in the publication’s annual celebration of Tampa Bay talent, culture and community.

The 2025 Best of the Bay readers’ ballot spanned more than 500 categories highlighting people, businesses, artists, events and organizations across the region. In the Best Vocalist category, Creative Loafing named Bryan J Hughes as the winner, with Najibo and Sherry Seiler of Doc & Sherry as the two finalists. 

The annual Best of the Bay celebration was held September 24 at the Hard Rock Event Center at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa, bringing together winners and finalists from across the Tampa Bay community for the sold-out awards event. 

For Najibo, the recognition marked an important milestone in a career built through years of live performance throughout the Tampa Bay area. As a vocalist, bandleader and independent recording artist, the finalist recognition reflected the local presence she had developed through an extensive body of performances and continued work within the region’s music community.

The distinction became another chapter in Najibo’s evolving career in Tampa Bay, this time through recognition from one of the region’s longstanding annual awards programs.
